Outdoor Adventures 5K Trail Run

Description: This run will be held at the Azusa River Wilderness Trail and is a relatively flat, out-and-back 5k trail run with about 150 feet of elevation gain. The San Gabriel River in the Angeles National Forest have some of the best views of the natural scenery in the L.A. area. The run follows along the abandoned Old San Gabriel Canyon Road for about a mile and a half to the gauging station on the river. The run will start a little before the gate and it will follow the trail, passing by a seasonal waterfall at 0.5 miles. The trail descends to meet the river, this is where the turn around point is and you will return back to the start of the trail. The top three male and female finishers will receive either a free Outdoor Adventures trip for 1st place, 50% of an OA trip for 2nd Place, and 25% off an OA trip for 3rd Place. NOTE: This run is available to APU students, faculty and staff only.
