The Norris Dam State Park and Norris Municipal Watershed provides miles and miles of scenic and challenging single-track trails and off-road jeep trails to the delight of avid and competitive trail runners. The 2015 race will include the traditional 25k and 50k races, but this year we will be adding a 50 mile race. That’s right, a 50 mile race! The 2015 race will provide friends, family members, support staff and spectators with multiple opportunities to see their favorite runners along the course. All aid stations are easily accessible by road so spectators can follow and track their favorite runners as they progress through the course. Course details will not be provided but runners need to be willing to expect a few surprises for the 2015 race. We don’t call it the Norris Dam Hard Trail Race for nothing! The 25k race will have a 4 hour time limit and the 50 mile race will have a 13 hour time limit. The 50 mile race will also have time requirements for check in points.
