NC Trail Days 5K Hill Climb Trail Race

Join us for NC Trails Days Festival June 5 – June 7 in Elkin, NC. The hill climb trail race will be held at Stone Mountain State Park, Saturday, June 6 at 9 am. It is a heavy 5K at 3.2 miles. The race starts at the Lower Parking Lot on a gravel road. After 0.4 miles you pass through the historic Hutchinson Homestead. The course follows the Stone Mountain Loop Trail to the upper falls, a beautiful 200 ft. granite waterfall. Climb about 200 steps and continue uphill through switchbacks to the summit at 2,305 ft. You’ll be rewarded with an expansive view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Then join us for other events at NC Trails Days in and around Elkin- biking, paddling, hiking, and much more.
