Description:

Welcome to the Mountaineer Rumble 12 Hour Run at Kings Mountain State Park, Clover, SC. During the Mountaineer Rumble you’ll run a 4.5 mile loop that will highlight portions of the National Recreation Trail (Blue Blaze), CCC Multi-Use Trail (Orange Blaze), Living History Farm, and the Historic Farm Trail (Yellow Blaze) for the duration of the 12 hour event. Runners will have beautiful views of Lake Crawford, Lake Crawford Dam, creeks, rolling hills, and horses, cattle, and donkeys at the Living History Farm on each loop while running under a full moon.

There will be a 12 hour time limit for the race starting at 8 PM on Saturday, September 14, 2019 and ending on Sunday, September 15, 2019 at 8 AM. Runners will be able to run as many loops as they choose during the duration of the event.
There will be typical ultra race food at the start/finish line area for each loop. Runners will run by the aid station and drop bag area on each loop. This will give you access to the race aid and your gear on each loop without leaving the course. There will be a designated area for canopies to be set up along the course.

There will be two restrooms available. One at the start/finish line area and one at the 3ish mile mark on each loop. There will be prizes for Top 3 Male and Top 3 Female finishers along with multiple door prizes and packet prizes. The goal of the Mountaineer Rumble is to highlight portions of the trail system at Kings Mountain State Park and to give back for further improvements to the park. It is our hope that you enjoy many trail miles and are introduced to a park that you may not be fully aware of what it has to offer.
