Molalla River Trail Race

Description:

This is not your parent’s flat road race, this is a breathtakingly challenging 100% trail race (no asphalt or concrete)! Just 20 min SE of Molalla the Molalla River Corridor is a beautiful area with an amazing multi-use (horse, biking, hiking) trail system. Our race begins just up the hill from the Hardy Creek Trailhead. The 5K walk/run route has the least elevation gain, where as both the 10K run and half-marathon run routes feature “the wall” (a monster 500 ft hill over 3/4 of a mile). The half marathon route has a total of over 1500 ft of elevation gain, the first 6-7 miles of the half utilizes the north trails, and the back half utilizes the 10K route on the south trails.. Be ready for some monster hills, but the hills aren’t the only monsters you need to look out for! As local folklore and Animal Planet’s Finding Bigfoot has placed Bigfoot sightings in the region. Our distances are close but not exact. Finishing medal and beanie hat comes with your entry.
