Description:

The concept is simple. At 8:00 a.m. On Thursday, October 22, we will start a race around the town of Millares. In a circuit of 4.166667 miles, or equivalent to 6.7 kilometers. (24 laps = 100 Miles)

The time limit to complete the circuit will be one hour. At 9:00 am, we will start the second loop race on the same route, along the same street and trails of the LLAJTA. We will do the same at 10:00, 11:00, and so on, every hour, until only one runner can complete a race within the time limit.

At 3 minutes before each race, the bell will sound 3 times, indicating that it is 3 minutes before they are ready again. At 2 minutes before the race, the bell will ring 2 times, indicating that it only takes 2 minutes to start again. After 1 minute, the bell will ring once and runners must be ready inside the starting pen.

Once they are in the corral and the bell rings, the runners will not be able to visit their support, tent, vehicles, receive help from anyone or leave something to someone.

Runners must remain inside the corral, once the last minute bell rings. At 30 seconds before each race, an announcement will be made. At 10 seconds before each race, a countdown to zero will begin.

At the hourly point, the Race Director raises the start flag and everyone goes in the search of the next adventure of the day. The only reason to leave the route when once the bell rings, is to use the bathroom, or to relieve yourself on the trails. That will be in your own time, but it is not as advisable.

Once you finish your cycle, you can choose to do what you want, but you must go back to the starting pen before the bell rings at the last minute. Any runner who is not in the corral at the time of departure will not be eligible to continue. (Applicable in all the initial loops of the circuit). The runners will not continue if they choose not to continue on their own.

In this race, you do not start late! In the course, the runner will not be able to have help of any kind, otherwise he will be disqualified from the event. In this race, trekking poles are not allowed! If no runner can complete the final circuit, then there will be no winner. Have you ever thought that you could not be defeated? If only the fastest runners could not disappear quickly and leave you behind?

Well this is your chance to find out that. Each surviving runner will be together with the leader of the race, every hour.

LLAJTAY BACKYARD ULTRA will continue until only one man or women remains standing … Once that person completes a loop or a lap on his own, that runner will be the only winner. All other runners will be defeated or (DNF). It does not matter how many days or how long it takes. This is a race to the death … Runners are responsible for their support or personal help.

Hydration or water will be available throughout the race (mineral water or city water) There will also be soft drinks and “Chicha”, original drink of the Village. There will be breakfast, tea, coffee, lunch and dinner, served from 10:00 a.m. and will continue daily until the end. In addition, there will be a variety of fruits, snacks, vegetables, sweets and everything that Ultra runner consumes. All this and much more will be available at the Headquarters tables. For all those runners who are near the start and end, space will be provided for a lawn chair, a cooler and for small personal items.

You can also install your own tent as close as possible. (As well as the order of arrival, the first that arrives, the first one that uses the place). Runners who surrender or (DNF) must immediately vacate their space, to allow “surviving” runners to get as close as possible to the starting corral.

In LLajta Backyard Ultra. We do not accept substitutes runners or replacements! This is a non-profit race. Many people will ask, where will the ticket rates go? All the money raised will be destined for the arrangements of the primary school of the town and to pay expenses of the same event. At LLajtay Backard Ultra, we have hygienic bathrooms and showers 14 meters from the start / finish line.

In the night, and in the light of the Moon there will be a bonfire around the central location of the starting line. A ring of fire will continue to burn soft fire. While the hot cinnamon boils. This is a trap for the stands or people who will be awaiting the competitors, Trap because alcohol will be allowed, and hot cinnamon and free coffee will be provided while they wait and tell stories in the heat of the campfire. All runners will receive a shirt from LLajtay Backyard ULTRA.

The winner of the event will receive a BUCKLE OR BELT BUCKLE, designed only for the winner; In addition, you will receive a free Golden ticket to the BACKYARD ULTRA World Championship in Tennessee 2021 … (In case there is a winner)

All runners who reached 100 Miles, will also receive a 100 MILE BELT BUCKLE. All runners who reached 50 Miles will receive 50 Mile medals. The times, positions and results of each participant, will be show on live through our website of the event. You or your family at home can see your position, your progress on live. In addition, we will be transmitting by “Facebook Live” for the rest of the Race.
