Leif Ericson Trail Race

Description: Join us for the first race through Camp Leif Ericson in the heart of Sioux Falls! Bring back some childhood memories if you attended camp here, or check out this hidden gem if you've never been there before. This race will start and finish in Pasley Park entering Leif Ericson from the far south end of the camp. Racers will have a true cross country start running the length of the park in the grass from north to south crossing the bridge by the Grenno statue. From there racers will enter into Camp Leif Ericson running through the camps gravel roads and trails going to the far north end and coming back to the south end again. Going back over the bridge into Pasley the course will turn onto the Falls Area Single Track (F.A.S.T) trails built along the Big Sioux River and follow the single track all the way to the finish area by the Pasley playground and picnic shelter. This 4 mile course is flat and fast, which is in stark contrast to our other trail races with lots of hills. This would be a great first time trail race for anyone! Following the 4 mile race we'll have a free kids run followed by a special after part at Crawford’s from 11-1pm, featuring free burgers and s’mores for the kids!
