15th annual Laurel Run Ascent is a 11 mile trail race on the scenic trails of Laurel Run Park and Bays Mountain Park, with creek crossings, waterfalls and wild flowers. Race is part of Skelton Law Racing Series and is included in State of Franklin Track Club King & Queen Competition, Long Distance Series, and Trail Series Competition. Race begins at Laurel Run Park on Holston River and ascends to fire tower atop Bays Mountain Park, then returns to Laurel Run Park. Since 1999, the award-winning Skelton Law Racing has presented a series of premier trail and road running events and has always been a 100% volunteer community service organization. We have had participants from over 30 states.
