Description: The 3rd Annual Jeffrey Ray Davis Sepsis Challenge 5k occurs on July 23rd, 2016. Jeff Davis lost his life to sepsis, the leading cause of death in US hospitals and the disease with the highest rate of readmission to a hospital within 30 days. You can find more information on our event site: JeffreyDavis5k.org. The race is chipped time and registration is only $30 through July 9th. Sepsis Alliance's mission is to save lives by raising awareness of sepsis as a medical emergency. The organization tracks awareness levels, hosts national and community events, educates patients and healthcare providers, and supports survivors and family members impacted by this devastating disease.
