HURL Fat Ass Run

Description:

Join us for the HURL Fat Ass. Run the full fat ass (3 loops), a big ass (2 loops), skinny ass (1 loop), or a half ass (half a trail loop).

Fat Ass (n.): a relaxed, low key, and loosely organized adventure run. No entry fees, no aid station, no formal timing. Just a fun run with our amazing community. You are responsible for yourself and your own safety.

Choose your route. All start and end at Old Shooting Range trailhead, Davis Gulch, Helena, MT

Trail Loop: Route at tinyurl.com/hurlfatass.

Mt. Ascension Trail Loop: Head partway up Entertainment, first left at Archery Range Trail, next right at Easy Rider Trail, next right at 2006 Trail, left on Mt. Ascension Loop Trail to summit saddle. Left to go down Entertainment Trail, right at the bridge for Aftershock, and left onto 2006 Trail to return to Old Shooting Range TH the way you came. 7.5 miles, 1,630 feet gain/loss.
Rodney Ridge Trail Loop: Head up & over Rodney Meadow Trail, left on Waterline Trail, left on T.R Trail, right on Pinchot Trail, down Rent Money and back to Rodney Meadow and the TH parking lot the way you came. 4.0 miles, 1,015 feet gain/loss.
Road Loop: Head up Davis Gulch Road, right on Dry Gulch Road. Start looping right around Cox Lake but take the first left onto a road, and immediate right onto the trail to Springhill Road. Go down Springhill Road and turn left at Orofino Gulch, through Unionville, and right on Grizzly Gulch road all the way back into town. Turn right onto South Cruse Street, right on Cutler Street, right on South Warren Street, left on Pine Street, and right on Davis Street back to Old Shooting Range TH. 11.4 miles, 1,570 feet gain/loss.
