HURL Fat Ass Run

Join us for the 2026 HURL Fat Fun Ass Run! Run a full fat ass (3 loops), a big ass (2 loops), skinny ass (1 loop), or a half ass (a short loop). Run whatever you want!

Fat Ass (n.): a relaxed, low key, and loosely organized adventure run. No entry fees, no aid station, no formal timing. Just a fun run with our amazing community. You are responsible for yourself and your own safety.

Choose your route. All start and end at HURL HQ, the cream house below the big brown house at the top of Rodney Street. Bring a potluck dish and hang for a bit when you’re done/around 5pm!

Trail Loop (<- click for GPX!): Head up Eagle Scout, up 2006 Trail, over to Entertainment, down to Aftershock, Aftershock to Archery Range to the Old Shooting Range Trailhead. Up to Rodney Meadow. TR trail to Waterline and up Don’t Fence Me In. Down to the top of Rodney Street trailhead and home to HURL HQ. 10.5 miles, 1,855 feet gain/loss.

Road Loop (<- click for GPX! Note that HURL HQ has moved around the block since this route was created. Reference the trail loop for the actual start/finish point.): Head up Davis Gulch Road, right on Dry Gulch Road.  Down Arrastra and turn left at Orofino Gulch, through Unionville, and right on Grizzly Gulch road all the way back into town.  Turn right onto South Cruse Street, right on Cutler Street, right on South Warren Street, left on Pine Street, and right on Rodney Street back to HURL HQ.  12.2 miles, 1,420 feet gain/loss.
