Howelsen Hill Ruck

The Howelsen Hill Ruck will be held at Emerald Mountain in Steamboat Springs, Co and will be a test of both strength and endurance.  The starting point is at Olympian Hall at the bottom of Howelsen Hill at Howelsen Park.  The Lowest point of the race will be at 6720′ and the highest point being 7805.’  The terrain features scrub oak, aspen trees, wildflower, and smooth, runnable tracks.  The race will be held on a loop trail system with the start/finish line being in the same location.  $5 for each ticket purchased will be donated to K9’s for Warriors (k9forwarriors.org).  If you are looking for a fun way to supplement your training and test your overall strength and endurance this is the race to do it!

The event will start at 7am with the duration being 2-3 hours depending of Rucking skill level.  Rucksacks will be provided by GoRuck or you can purchase your own from GoRuck and bring it to the event where the correct weight will be verified.  Women will be rucking with 20lbs and Men will be rucking with 30lbs.
