Description:

43K (26.2 miles) – 52k (32.36 miles) 6-7,000 feet of vert. Please do not sign up if you are not properly trained. 20 min average pace will be the cutoff. KNOW YOUR LIMITS. This is a rigorous Mountain race with distances and vert that demand respect.
Come join the fun, 3 loops of the Gibson Group Loop! each loop is 8.74 miles and just shy of 2,000 feet of elevation gain. The route begins in the Gibson Jack trail head parking lot. The parking lot area will be where the aid station is, too. There will be no confusion on where to turn and you will only be using 3 different trails that will take you to the top of Gibson for some epic views and down through its gut where you will run on a single track through forested areas.
There will be some trail treasures at this race, some of them will take you off of the main course and will hurt your course time/placement but the treasure may be worth it… TT (Treasure Trails) will be Out-N-Backs of a total 1 mile, .50 to turn around spot then back to main race course. The TT will be on Sterling Justice trail, Elk Meadows Loop trail and on Slate Mountain trail. These will also be specified and marked as to avoid confusion and becoming lion food.
