Full Moon Trail Run
399 South Koke Mill Road, Springfield IL, 62711, USA
Full Moon Trail Run (formerly Lewis Memorial Acres)
Event is limited to the first 200 registered runners. Race day registration may be available if participant limit has not yet been met. Check-in and packet pick-up starts at 6:30P at the pavilion in LMA park. Check-in is mandatory.
The route has been established and is a bit longer than initially noted and has been posted to Facebook. It will be approx 2.9 miles (not 2.5 as initially stated) with about 3/4 mile of field trails and the remainder being single-track dirt trails in the wooded area. A GOOD head-lamp and/or flashlight is required. Your safety is our utmost concern. The trail flows very nicely and is slightly technical with roots being the primary feature. There are bridges and a few logs to maneuver. No bears, cougars or sharks have been seen in the woods – recently. However, there is a local Yeti that does frequent the park when hunting. You might consider some BigFoot repellent or carrying a small pack of Jack Link beef jerky (I’m just saying!)
The first 100 registered participants for the Full Moon Trail Run will receive a LMA Full Moon Trail Run re-usable shopping bag with the cool new event logo.
