Welcome to Frozen Head Ultra Camp (FHUC) – a high-volume, high-vibe trail running experience built for intermediate to advanced runners ready to train hard, recover well, and soak up the magic of some of Tennessee’s best trails, mountains, forests, and creeks.
Set among the steep, shaded ridgelines of Frozen Head and its surroundings, FHUC is your chance to log serious vert, dial in your trail skills, and recharge at an epic ridgetop basecamp with a crew that loves the grind as much as the good times.

What to Expect
⏳ 6–12 hours of trail running over 3 days
Two runs at Frozen Head + one run at another scenic trail in the area (3 total guided runs) with “challenge by choice” optionality to allow you to dial the volume up or down to fit your needs.
⛰ Big climbs + real mountain terrain
Forested southeastern singletrack, sustained climbs up to 2,000 feet, a mix of smooth and technical descents, and classic Appalachian rollers.
🔥 Train hard. Recover harder.
Large conventional Sauna. Homemade cold plunge. Waterfall swims. Optional Massages. Bonfires. Yoga/Stretch sessions. Repeat.

Shared meals, local breweries, pizza in a barn, group sauna sessions and yoga, stargazing, and stories around the fire.

The Rez, in Lancing, TN, provides a picturesque ridgetop setting for Basecamp, with bathrooms, hot water, a sauna & cold plunge, a shared kitchenette, and options to camp or stay in cabins (while supplies last!).
