Description:

The Fall Backyard Burn is a series of 5 and 10 mile trail running races held on some of the best trail networks in the Northern Virginia Area. All the courses include a mixture of forested fire roads, twisty hiking trails, several stream crossings, grassy fields, and minimal pavement.

Race #4 is located at Hemlock Overlook located along the banks of the historic Bull Run, feels surprisingly remote for being so close to Washington D.C.  This challenging race course treats competitors with no shortage of rocks and roots, a few stream crossings, and up and down some awesome hills.
