Expedition 12K

Due to 4.5 feet of snow, the race is now rescheduled to October 2. If you were a registered runner for the Spring date, please check your email regarding your options. Course: Primarily single track trail with a few asphalt road crossings. The majority of the race runs on single-track trails that cover 2,200+ feet of vertical gain & 2,187 ft. vertical loss. The trails at Lewis and Clark Caverns are typically dry and clear of snow mid-April, however there has been years with snow and some icy spots. Be prepared for various weather conditions, climbing, sharp turns, and beautiful views.

Aid Stations: There are 2 aid locations stocked with water, Gatorade and energy gel. All stations are cupless. You must provide your own cup/hydration system or consider purchasing your own reusable race cup with race registration.

Carpooling: We highly encourage all runners to carpool to the event where possible. This will help us with the management of this event as parking is limited. Please follow the parking attendants when you enter the park.
