East End Trail Races

We couldn’t be more excited to offer you this opportunity to run the trails of DCR Borderland State Park. If you’ve never been, this park is quintessential New England. You are going to love the pond views and grassy fields, the start/finish at the historic Ames Family Mansion and the rocky terrain leading up to and back down from the old granite quarry.
The course will be a ~10K (a ‘heavy’ 10K) loop with one aid station near the halfway point, as well as at the start/finish. It will be an easy course to follow as trails are clearly marked and have limited intersections. We will be posting a link for a Strava map of the course on our website shortly.
Why East End? Prior to being incorporated in 1725, what is now the Town of Easton was the east end of a large tract of land purchased by 53 proprietors in 1668. This east end section of the Taunton North Purchase would later be referred to as East Town before becoming Easton.
