Absolutely stunning course, topping out at 13,200feet on the Continental Divide Trail. The vast majority of the course is on single track trail with the start and finish on dirt roads. 85% of the course is above 10,000’The 50K course climbs over 6500 feet. Due to the difficulty and remoteness of this race, prior ultra running experience is required.

The 22K course follows the first part of the 50K, making it one of the toughest half-marathons in the state, with 3400′ of climbing, reaching an altitude of 13,200′. The 22K course is not recommended for novice trail runners. It is a tough course at high altitude.
