Cold Feat 5/10K Trail Race

Greenbelt Trails, Staten Island, NY

This longtime winter race begins on the rolling fairways of LaTourette golf course before heading into the single track woodland Greenbelt trails in central Staten Island. Runners can register for a 5K or 10K course. The 5K runner will head out 15 minutes before the 10K runners – and in a different direction.

There are hills involved here, and classic trail features as well – tree roots, rocks, uneven surfaces, mud and several twists and turns along the course! The winter trails are light filled and invigorating – hard to believe one is within the limits of New York City!

The Greenbelt is protected NYC parkland, which is managed and maintained in partnership with the nonprofit Greenbelt Conservancy. Race fees help support trail maintenance and nature based programs for people of all ages and abilities. The course has elevation, great vistas, singe track trails and is rugged in spots. A high quality race shirt or hat, awards ceremony for age group winners and great refreshments round out the day. The even is held in all weather conditions, and this race has seen it all – so yes, it CAN be done. Join us for a great trail race just outside of Manhattan – a sure cure for cabin fever.
