If you are not familiar with this location, it’s only 2.5 miles from the Lake Thurmond Visitors Center by the Dam.

Trail Details
It’s very runnable but has a two climbs, one climb during the loop up to the summit, and another climb back to the start/finish area. It’s 100% single track trail for hikers/runners only. The trail has a few bridges and two very small creek crossings.

The trail is a 1.9 mile out and back with a loop. It’s a Q-tip shaped trail. It will take approximately 7 loops to complete a Half Marathon, 14 loops to complete a Full Marathon, and 17 loops to complete a 50K distance. There will be top Male and female winners who have the most laps in the 6 hour time limit.

Aid Station/Volunteers
We will setup basic aid at the start/lap/finish area. I suggest bringing your own fuel and water. If you can donate fuel/food/water for other runners that would be great. I will also need 2-3 volunteers. Please message me directly if you would like to volunteer.

Parking
There is going to be VERY limited parking, so please arrange as much carpool as possible. The parking area at the start location can only hold maybe 6 cars before we start parking along the side of the road. Please be sure to park far enough off the side of the road not to block traffic. Please park on the same side of the road as the trail head.

Other Useless Information
This is NOT a race. It’s just a group of people challenging themselves and having fun. This is a completely FREE event. (Yes, I know UltraSignup has a signup fee but that was because I was required to do so. I’ll be refunding your $5 at check-in of race morning.) If you want to run less time that’s fine. All paces welcome.
