Description:

Race Host: Charlie Creek Farms is hosting the “Farm to Trail 11K & 30K” USFS Permit Pending. This beautiful farm and it’s
scenery will take your breath away. It is nestled on Charlie Creek with forest all around it bringing you a
total sense of peace and tranquility. We would to thank Mike and his family for the opportunity to
experience this fantastic setting.
Trail Host: The National Forest Service has generously allowed us to use their spectacular trail system
for this race. Both the Benton MacKaye and the Aska Trail System are some of the best trails in the
Southeast.
Race Management: Dirty Spokes Productions is providing Race Management for this event. Bringing
outstanding trail events to runners and mountain bikers for the past fourteen years Dirty Spokes
Productions is the leader in quality trail events.
Directions: From the Atlanta area take I-575 N to SR 515 N to Blue Ridge, Ga. Turn right on
Old U.S. 76 Connector (Collins Dr.) (Past Mesquite Grill). Road will dead end into Old U.S. 76. Turn left onto
Old U.S. 76 and travel approximately 1/4 mile (past Ace Hardware). Turn right onto Aska Road.
Travel 3 miles on Aska Road to Snake Nation Rd. Turn right on Snake Nation Rd. Charlie Creek
Farms is 1/2 mile on the left.
Parking: There will be limited parking at Charlie Creek Farms and adjoining property. Off site
limited parking will be available at New Antioch Church across the road from Charlie Creek
Farms and Ozion Church at the intersection of Snake Nation Rd and Aska Rd. Turn left on
Ripshin Mountain Road. Ozion Church is a 1/2 mile walk to Charlie Creek Farms.
Packet Pickup: Race Day packet Pickup will Be From 7:00am to 8:00am with the Race
starting at 8:30am sharp.
Aid Station: there will be one centrally located aid station at Deep Gap parking lot. 11K
Runners will pass this aid station at approximately 5 3/4 miles. 30K Runners will pass this aid
station 3 times at approximately 5 3/4 miles, 11 miles and 17 1/4 miles. Runners should also be
self supporting so far as hydration, energy supplements and snacks. Even though the aid
station will have hydration such as water, Gatorade and sodas. Snacks such as chips, pretzels,
cookies, etc. It is important for runners to carry their needed hydration and food for safety and
comfort between aid station,
Trail Etiquette: Please be aware and courteous to your fellow Trail Runners. When
approaching and passing a runner announce your intentions to pass on the left or right. In two
way traffic areas (30K) please watch for other runners and pass safely. If you are using Gel
Energy packets, DO NOT THROW THEM ON THE GROUND OR TRAILS. These are YOUR
trails, so keep them clean.

Awards: The 11K and 30K Overall First, Second, Third place as well as Masters and
Grandmasters men and women AND Senior Grandmasters men and women will receive handmade Awards. Age group podium winners will
receive medals.
