For the more experienced athlete or for those looking for a new challenge the 8km event starts at the boat ramp at Point Roadknight.

A short run up the sand toward the point before circling back past the Anglesea Motor Yacht Club and continuing along the Surf Coast walking track through native heathlands and along the cliff top.

A quick descent down past the surf club and onto the Anglesea main beach for a burst of predominantly firm sand running before joining the track along the river precinct and crossing the bridge adjacent to the iconic Great Ocean Road. A loop around the Anglesea Caravan Park is completed before rejoining the beautiful sands of Anglesea beach for a memorable run around the rocky headland at the boat ramp, past soaring cliffs with the sea on your left and around Soapy Rocks before the final ​dash along the beach to the Roo Run finish line.

Runners should be aware that they may get wet feet crossing the Anglesea river mouth and as this is a low tide event possibly when running around the rocky outcrops at the boat ramp and Soapy Rocks.
