40/50 Mile Challenge – Lake Carl Blackwell
11000 W Hwy 51, Stillwater OK, 74074, USA
Toe the line for a true ultra. The 40/50 Mile Challenge at Lake Carl Blackwell is a continuous-loop race on a runnable 3.1-mile (5K) loop through rolling lakeside terrain, open grasslands, and wooded sections with expansive views of the lake — a gritty, no-nonsense test of pacing and patience. Choose 40 or 50 miles; mass start at 6:30 AM with a 12-hour hard cutoff. Roll through a fully stocked aid station every loop, stage your gear at the start/finish, and bring pacers after 4:00 PM. A mix of dirt paths, grass, and lightly packed earth with gentle rolling elevation — no navigation, no drop-bag logistics, just you and the miles. Run alongside The Next Loop Endurance Series on the same course under separate scoring for an electric race-day atmosphere. Field capped at 75 to keep the course and support first-class.
