10K at 10,000 Feet

A Challenging trail run with some beautiful terrain and breathtaking scenery…. this race is a Steamboat classic! The 10K race begins at 10,000 ft at the summit of Rabbit Ears Pass first heading uphill on USFS dirt roads and 2 track, the race then heads downhill on single-track, and ends on a cross country single-track, Total elevation gain and loss are about ~1,200 feet each. This race although listed as a 10K is about 6.8 miles. The 10k has 1 aid station at about 3.4 miles and the 5k does not have an aid station so we HIGHLY recommend carrying your own water.
