Directions: The dirt portion of the trail begins just north of
Riverton. Take highway 26/789 north out of town about a mile(towards Shoshoni) and
take a right on Honor Farm road. Drive east approximately two miles to the trailhead
on the left side of the road. You could also start in Shoshoni and pick up the trail near
City Park on the east edge of town.
Trail Information: This trail follows the old C and NW railway bed from
Riverton to Shoshoni. It is very flat with elevations throughout the run just under
5000 feet. I have not run the entire trail yet but it is about 20 miles one way. The
trail is open to ATV's but the traffic is normally extremely light. If you want a
pleasant flat course with several areas of abundant wildlife, give it a try if passing
through the area.
