Forest Ridge Park, Austin

Directions:   TAKE LOOP 360 SOUTH FROM HIGHWAY 183.AFTER 3 RD. TRAFFIC LIGHT GO ABOUT ANOTHER QUARTER OF A MILE AND TURN TO THE RIGHT. THERE'S A DRIVEWAY THAT GOES DOWN TO THE PARKING LOT (IF YOU PASS THE CREEK YOU HAVE GONE TO FAR).

Trail Information: THIS IS A VERY HILLY COURSE! WITH LOTS OF ROCKS IN SOME PLACES AND1 OR 2 STREAM CROSSINGS (WHEN IT RAINS). THIS TRAIL IS ONE BIG LOOP THAT'S ABOUT 4-5 MILES LONG. AFTER RUNNING UP THE FIRST HILL YOU START TO RUN DOWN ANOTHER HILL, SOMEWHAT LIKE A ROLLER COASTER, UNTIL YOU HIT A FORK IN THE ROAD. TRAIL TO THE LEFT HAS A SERIES OF SHORT LITTLE INCLINES THAT GO UP ABOUT 5-10FT. AT A TIME UNTIL YOU HIT THE TREE LINE AND THEN IT GOES UP AT A 75 DEGREE ANGLE FOR ABOUT A HALF A MILE. THIS TRAIL LOOPS BACK AROUND TO THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE FORK. THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE FORK GOES UP AS SOON AS YOU GET ON IT AND STAYS THAT WAY UNTIL YOU GET TO THE WATER TOWER. THIS CONNECTS WITH THE LEFT TRAIL AND FORMS A LOOP.

Miscellaneous Information: THIS TRAIL IS NOT USED THAT MUCH BY RUNNERS . I'VE ONLY SEEN 3 OTHER PEOPLE, BUT YOUR HARDCORE MNT. BIKE GUYS USE THIS FOR TRAINING. THERE IS NO WATER/RESTROOMS ON TRAIL. SNAKES CAN BE SEEN DURING THE SUMMER MONTHS, ALONG WITH LOTS OF DEER. TRAIL IS PART OF THE BULLCREEK TRAIL.
P.S.-VIEW FROM TOP IS GREAT!
