Kings Mtn. state park and national park share a 15 mile loop trail. I have orienteered there. These parks are the most enjoyable that the Charlotte Orienteering Club runs in . You can find them at http://us.orienteering.org I haven't run the loop yet but the ranger sent me a map at no cost.
