Directions: From Norman, go east on Highway 9 to Thunderbird Lake
(approx. 10 miles) Take the second exit. Trail head is on the left side of the
road just past the entrance sign.
Trail Information: Trail is mostly single track through nice
forest. Trail is well managed and there are signs and maps posted along the trail.
Trail covers rolling terrain and has nice views of the lake. The trail can be
run as a 4.5 mile loop or a 6 mile out and back along the trail closest to the water.
Miscellaneous Information: This trail is best after or during a
rain because it tends to make the sandy parts of the trail firmer.
