My favorite trail in the Youngstown, Ohio area are within Mill Creek Park. The trails are well marked, all trails circle lakes, the scenery is excellent. The trails have slightly rolling terrain. Total length of trails must be close to 15 miles. Within the Park, my favorite is a 7 mile loop (although the loop can be shortened to 5 easily) beginning at the trail head at Shields Road and Sheban Drive. On this route you will follow a meandering stream, circle Lake Newport, pass 2 waterfalls, run through the gorge area to "The Old Mill" (circle back for the 5 mile run) then to the "flats" and cross over the historic Silver Bridge and circle back to Shields Rd. A great run.
