Directions: I-10 exit 248 on Ina Rd. Go west across
Silverbell Rd. and enter Saguaro National Park. Ina Rd. turns into Picture Rocks Rd. About
4 miles after the park entrance on this curvy road there is a another sharp right turn. On
the left side (outside of the turn) is a gate which happens to be the beginning of Golden
Gate Rd.
Trail Information: -wide dirt road, approx. 6.7 miles long
-goes slightly uphill for the first 2.6 miles
-surface rocky with sand especially in the crossing dry washes
-some short steep climbs
-ends on the highway leading to the Arizona Desert Museum and old Tucson Studios
Miscellaneous Information: Very nice and scenic route through the
cactuses rest area about 2.6 miles after entering from Picture Rocks Rd. watch the speed
limit in the park
