Adam Chase inducted into the Colorado Running Hall of Fame

The Colorado Running Hall of Fame was established in 2007. Each year in April, a distinguished class is inducted during a special ceremony in Denver.  This year’s induction took place on April 20, and among the inductees was be our president Adam W. Chase.

The Colorado Running Hall of Fame considers athletes, writers, race directors, volunteers, coaches, agents, officials, and others who have elevated the sport of running in the state through their dedication and accomplishments. In what many would say is an inimitable style, Chase fits into each and everyone one of these criteria.

His dedication is ever-present from his professional life as a tax attorney, to his numerous jobs and volunteer roles outside the office. He has been ATRA’s president for nearly two decades and has helped us grow from a tiny all-volunteer organization to an industry leader and respected resource for our sport with a staff of three.

An accomplished trail runner, ultramarathoner, adventure racer, and Ironman triathlon finisher, Chase knows our sport well.

He is a published author with several books to his credit along with countless articles including comprehensive shoe and gear reviews for magazines, and feature stories on running events near and far. His wit and joie de vivre are evidenced in his writing style as well as his daily life, and certainly in his posts on Facebook.

As a brand ambassador, he works with ATRA corporate members Salomon and Atlas Snow-Shoe to create opportunities for athletes to participate on teams and as individuals in trail, snow, and mountain running events nationally and internationally.

He is a supportive coach, a tireless mentor, a patient teacher, a devoted father, and a true friend.

From all of us at the American Trail Running Association – Congratulations Adam!
